The Google Keyword Analyzer is an online tool which can help you determine suitable keywords for pay per click, search engine optimization and article marketing and is very simple to use.
All you do is this. You type in (or copy and paste if you already have a list) your keywords, one per line. You select which country you want the results from, whether you want adult ideas and mobile search and you can filter your search results. By filter I mean for example that you can choose only to see results where the local monthly searches are higher than one thousand or any other number that you choose.
Alternatively, rather than entering your own keywords you can enter the url of a website to see what keywords your competition is using.
In addition, you can search by categories and include or exclude words or phrases and select broad, exact or phrase match types.
The Google keyword analyzer will give you the following column headings or you can choose which of them to display:
Keyword
Competition (this is just line on a bar to give you an idea)
Global Monthly Searches
Local Monthly Searches
Local Search Trends
Estimated Average CPC (cost per click)
Ad Share (percentage of time that your ad is shown for the exact match query)
Search Share (percentage of time that your website appeared on the first page of organic results for exact match keywords)
Extracted From Web Page
These last four items are for pay per click advertising purposes, whereas the others will help you with article marketing.
The Google keyword analyzer is particularly good for researching pay per click but, I don't think it's as good as some for article marketing and in neither case does it give you exact competing page data.
